Project name: National Wildflower Centre

Location: Liverpool

Client: Landlife

Architect: Hodder & Partners

Landscape Projects worked with Hodder and Partners Architects and the environmental charity Landlife to develop a new visitor facility at the heart of a well-loved but neglected park with associations with the Gladstone Family.

The project, situated in a mature parkland setting, involved the construction of an unusual new building, comprising research and visitors facilities. The car park and external gardens and seed processing areas were designed to provide both security, and an attractive, functional landscape. The National Wildflower Centre received HLF funding and has won several prestigious awards including an RIBA Award in 2001.
